Join us at the Old Meeting House on Sunday, July 17 at 5 pm for live music and an old-fashioned box picnic supper——it’ll make a mouth-watering finale to all the Heritage Commission’s doings at the Francestown Town Common.
Bring your favorite picnic supper, and OMH Trustee Stewart Brock will auction it off to the highest bidder to help us pay to paint our 1801 National Trust landmark building. We’ll provide the boxes, utensils, and condiments, but PLEASE include your name and what’s in your picnic supper, so we’ll know what delicious treats we’ll be bidding for.
“Be fancy and have fun” in planning your picnic offering, says Trustee Marsha Dixon. “Children can make their favorite sandwiches and snacks to auction off to pals, parents, and grandparents,” adds Trustee Marcy Bixby Graham, “while gourmets can wow us with fancy dishes.”
The box picnic supper is BYOB, but we’ll also have iced tea and lemonade for sale as well.
Not in the mood to cook? The OMH will offer a number of terrific box picnics ready and waiting for your bid.
Gordon Peery (of Nelson contra dance fame) will play his guitar, accompanied by Jane Orzechowski on the fiddle, for live dinner music as we spread out and dine on the OMH lawn. Bring a folding chair or blanket and join in all the fun!
