The Old Meeting House of Francestown has been an important fixture in the Monadnocks for over 200 years. As a unique venue for cultural and arts events, as an idyllic setting for a wedding, and even as a meeting place for community events, this building has stood with us over the years—and remains (and will remain) a critical fixture of our community. It is only with the help of the whole community that the OMH will continue to serve us in the future, as it does today, and as it has in the past.
The Old Meeting House interior is maintained meticulously, both to preserve the historic qualities of the building, while providing the modern amenities required for its varied uses.
The beauty of bucolic Francestown contributes to the uniqueness of the OMH as a venue for arts, cultural, civic, and private gatherings.
Your Support is Critical
While the OMH has stood proudly in the center of our town for well over a century, it has suffered, from time to time, the wear and tear of age and the elements. Support for the OMH is ongoing. Please join us!
As a Meetinghouse, the OMH has provided shelter and comfort to travelers and visitors to Francestown since it was built in 1801. We invite you to visit the OMH anytime, enjoy the simple, classic architecture and peaceful grounds, as our ancestors have, and as we hope our children and grandchildren will.
